George Clifford Olson
October 18th, 1925 - December 13th, 2012
George Clifford Olson, 87, of Duluth and Brainerd, passed away peacefully on Dec. 13, 2012. George was born October 18, 1925 in Duluth where he lived most of his life. He was a World War II Army veteran. He worked for the City of Duluth Water and Gas Company for forty years. Preceding him in death were his parents, Aron and Christine Olson; his first wife, Doris Wedan Olson who he was married to for 51 years; and his brothers, Willis "Bill" and Gust Olson. George is survived by his wife, Lois Olson; sons, Paul, David, and Don Olson; daughters, Dorothy Taylor and Peggy La Pine; sisters, Corrine Erickson and Barb Johnson; brother, Carl Olson; 24 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. Memorial services were held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Lakeview Covenant Church, Duluth with refreshments following in the fellowship hall.
