Georgene Adams
September 21st, 1930 - September 20th, 2024
Georgene Mary Adams (Behselich) age 94 met Jesus face to face on September 20, 2024. She is survived by her three daughters Debbie Peplinski, Rene Liakopoulos, Roxy Adams, Grandson Nick Liakopoulos (Kim), Granddaughter Antonia Hake (Ben), and Five Great Grandchildren, Mila, Alex, Ana, Demetri & Angelo. Also surviving is a sister Virginia Marshall, brother Lawrence Behselich plus numerous other nieces and nephews. Georgene was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold.
Georgene was a lifelong Wisconsinite. She was born in Pittsville then moved during her teen years with her family to Hebron, where she later met Harold at a dance. Soon they were married and living in Little Prairie where they raised their girls. Retirement found them living in Fort Atkinson and travelling the United States. Harold loved to drive, and Georgene loved to travel and did so many times with various brothers, sisters and their spouses. A frequent activity of the pair was to travel to favorite restaurants for lunch, no matter how far. Harold’s appreciation of “good” liver and onions made this a favorite past time, plus Georgene’s passion for everything Wisconsin, Barns, Pastoral country views and church steeples often ignited these spontaneous day trips. When the fall colors were out and apples ripe in Gays Mills, you could find them on the road along with friends and family hoping for a future piece of Georgene’s delicious apple pie. Georgene was famous in the family for her light and flakey crusts no matter what they were filled with they were delicious. In her retirement years she became a major Green Bay Packer’s fan, rarely missing a game on TV even while she was in the nursing home. Georgene had a generous spirit and was fiercely loyal to those she loved.
The family wants to thank Fairhaven for taking such good care of Georgene during her extensive time there.
