Georgia L. "Georgie" Billings

Georgia L. "Georgie" Billings 1937-2023 Georgia "Georgie" Billings, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 in Bartow, FL. Georgie was born in Rhodell, WV on February 19, 1937 and later moved to Elkton, MD and Piney Creek, NC and moved to Winter Haven in 1969 with her husband and 5 children. Georgie was employed by the Polk County School Board where she was a faithful school cafeteria worker and retired in 2012. Georgie was a one of a kind mother and an amazing grandmother. She loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed animals especially cats and dogs but was known to have had chickens, hogs and a horse at one time. She also enjoyed the outdoors and she loved Jesus with all her heart and she showed his love to all. Georgie is preceded in death by her husband Junior Billings and her great-grandson, Bailey Tilley. Georgie is survived by her sister's Dealia Beal of Lexington, TN and Janice Linzy of Maryland and she is also survived by her 5 children. Randy Billings (Karen) of Eagle Lake, FL, Susie Billings of Winter Haven, FL, Carol Billman (Dennis) of Bartow, FL, Rob Billings (Kim) of Winter Haven, FL and David Billings of Winter Haven, FL. Also her seven grandchildren, Herm, Kristina, Holly, Tiffany, Taylor, Tori and Alex and 14 great grandkids. Per Georgie's wishes, a small private family graveside service will take place.
