Gerald Lee Skeels

February 5th, 1936 - March 3rd, 2019

Obituary Gerald �Jerry� Lee Skeels of Lyons, Colorado died March 3, 2019 at home. He was 83. He was born February 5, 1936, in Denver, Colorado to Chauncey L. and Edith (Rasco) Skeels. After graduating from South High School, he attended Colorado State University and was a member of the Colorado Civil Air Patrol and National Guard. On December 31, 1960, he married Judith �Judy� Anne Jacobson in Denver, Colorado. In 1995, Jerry Skeels retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 38 years as an Electronics Technician. He later worked for the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau. He was active in the American Water Works Association, volunteered at the Travelers Assistance Program at DIA, and served as a Planning Commissioner for the town of Lyons. Mr. Skeels is survived by his wife Judy A. Skeels of Lyons, Colorado, his daughter Jolece A. Oughton and her husband Troy Oughton of Parker, Colorado and their two children, Emily and Ian, his daughter Janette L. Ferguson and her husband Paul Ferguson of Lakewood, Colorado, and their two sons Ryan and Christopher, his daughter Janay D. Pezzella and her husband Gino Pezzella of Aurora, Colorado, and his daughter Misty J. Walker and her husband Thomas Walker of Erie, Colorado, and their three children Dustin, Drianna and Davyn.
