Gerlinde Elisabeth Kustes Lovelett

Gerlinde Elisabeth Kustes Lovelett passed away at her home on November 7, 2018 after a valiant fight with lung cancer. She was born in 1945 in Germany. Gerlinde moved to America with her first husband where she became a dedicated and valued employee at Ft Jackson Officer’s Club for 36 years. She was an incredibly loving woman, a true German Oma to all she met. Gerlinde loved going for walks and drinking coffee on the porch. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Lovelett; son, Larry Oliver (Anne Marie Oliver); and daughter, Andrea Elisabeth Oliverrothenberger (Luke Rothenberger); as well as grandchildren, Elisabeth Oliver Coffin (Alex Coffin), Miranda Rothenberger, and Lucas Oliverrothenberger; and cousins in Germany. She was predeceased by her mother, Elisabetta Kustes; and her spoiled dog, Buddy. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park with burial following in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
