Glen David Jacobsen (51) passed away peacefully on August 8, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife Selena and family after a brief illness of his heart. Glen was born in Westminster, CA. on March 23, 1972 to Curtis and Jean Jacobsen. He grew up in Westminster, CA where he attended school and graduated with his degree in Information Technology. He found the love of his life by a chance meeting at the Fitzgerald Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in August 2005. Glen transplanted himself to Colorado in 2007 to build a life with Selena. They married in the summer of 2008 and together they welcomed two daughters, Abigail and Lucy and enjoyed his life with them and all that comes with raising two daughters. He loved going to Abby’s recitals, drama plays and all her school activities. As well as watching Lucy compete in baton twirling competitions and running track. He had a passion for cooking where his meals were not only famous but also counted on for every get together, special event and holidays. During the last 16 years, Glen had the pleasure of working for TTech in Englewood, CO in the IT Department. He enjoyed his job immensely, but what gave him the most pleasure was communicating with each colleague and assisting with their tech issues. Those chats would always provide a joyous laugh, positive feedback or some cute story about his family. TTech will truly miss Glen as an outstanding employee but most of all, a friend. Glen will live on through his loving wife Selena of 15 years, daughters Abigail Jean (13), Lucy Marie (11). His parents Curt and Jean Jacobsen, brother Mark (Jenny), aunt and uncle Ann Bissett-Johnson, Robin Jacobsen and cousins, Darci and Tyler Orcut. In-laws, Donald & Viola Romero, sister-in-laws Donna, Fran (Mike) Barbera, brother-in-law Robert (Pamela) Romero. Nieces and nephews, Chloe Jacobsen, Mallory (Michael) Navarro, Lauren (Aaron) Krakow, Olivia (Taylor) Hunt, Audrey (Zach) Blotz, Cameron (Rachel) Romero, Trevor and Tory Romero. Bonus nieces and nephews Brian (Nikki) Barbera, Brianna (Tom) Keller and Michaela (Shawn) Gregory. Great nieces and nephews, Christian, Aria and Luke Krakow, Maison Hunt, Lindon Keller, Bennett and (soon to arrive) Lennon Blotz, Reagan and Charli Belle Romero. Preceded in death by grandparents; Edward and Annie Taylor, Carl and Francis Jacobsen, and aunt, Pat Jacobsen. Special thanks to the St. Anthony Central surgeons and critical care teams for their empathy and heartfelt efforts in caring for Glen. As well as the families of John and Sara Mahoney and Craig and Sandi DeCamp, who have provided above and beyond support for Abby and Lucy during Glen's illnesses. And finally, to their community of friends for their strength and support and the many meals provided with love
