Glenn W. Norvell
February 16th, 1930 - December 21st, 2021
Glenn W. Norvell, 91, of Ocala, Florida passed away at Estelle’s Hospice House on December 21, 2021. He was born February 16, 1930, the son of the late Lloyd and Daisy (Wallace) Norvell. Glenn was a native of Thawville, Illinois before moving to the Ocala area. He married his loving wife, Mary, and together the two shared over 65 years of love and happiness. He was a United States Navy Veteran who proudly served his country. He later worked for Reynold’s Metal where he retired from in 1991. Glenn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ocala and enjoyed boating, fishing, and playing card games. Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his children, Karen Koblentz and Daniel Norvell; and grandchildren, Heath Norvell, Eric Norvell, and Tyler Norvell. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandchildren, Megan Norvell and Matthew Obeso. A funeral service for Glenn will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services (910 E Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470) on January 3 at 4:00pm. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on January 3 from 10:00 until 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart to Heart Orphans USA (hearttoheartusa.org).
