Gloria Jean Sinclair was born November 18, 1947 in Springfield, Illinois. She died September 27, 2023 in Sarasota, Florida after a brief illness. Her parents were Wayne Sinclair and Gloria (Straubing) Sinclair who are both deceased. She has two siblings, Linda Sinclair Pappariella (Greg) whose is deceased and Craig Sinclair who resides in Lake Forest, Illinois. She has two children Jennifer Gardner and John Gardner who both reside in Sarasota, Florida and one grandchild, Lauren Weble also in Sarasota. Gloria received her BS in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois and her MS in Speech Pathology and Audiology from University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She was a speech pathologist in public school system and promotions and marketing manager with the Gannett newspaper group. She Served on the board of directors of several youth and women’s health groups in Princeton, New Jersey. She was a fierce advocate for protecting the rights of individuals and families dealing with mental health issues and was instrumental in helping the legal community understand the need for treatment versus imprisonment. By far her favorite role was that of a mother and grandmother.
