Gregorio Scott-McClean
March 1st, 1957 - June 15th, 2016
Gregorio Scott-McClean aka Nino Brown was born and lived a good part of his life in Colon, Panama. He was a very resourceful child who loved animals, especially birds, and was known to capture and train them. He was disciplined to respect others and spent much of his time mentoring his brothers. One of his boy dreams was to come to the United States. When he got the opportunity, he stayed. Taking on many jobs from housekeeping, cooking to even millwork and landscaping. All that knew Nino, his love for reggae music was what he was best known for. Nino's death was superseded by his mother Vilemhenia McClean Scott and his brother Roberto Reed. He is survived by his fiance Candy, his son Silassi, his daughter Tanya and his grandchildren Trevell, Deja, and London. Also his Uncle Joseph McClean (Josephina), sisters Barbara Pettigrew (Dan) from North Carolina, Tariza Martin , brothers Mario Scott (Olivia), Luis Scott (Maria) and Maximo Scott (Laura) all from Panama. Nino will be missed by all who knew him but he will be remembered by all who have had the opportunity to meet him. Everyone will admit that he was unusually different from most people but his uniqueness made it so easy to be around him. Nino always said to "Never put off till tomorrow what you can do for today" Tomorrow might be to late". Your born once, you live once, you die once, and you get buried once!" He made peace with the Lord and now it is tomorrow for Nino and his work is done so he is resting with the Lord. REST IN PEACE, WE LOVE YOU!

Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
