Harry Kobler Lawrence III, age 64, of Venice, died on March 24, 2008. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 28, 1943, and grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ. Harry graduated from FSU in 1968, and after service in the US Navy as a pilot, moved to Venice and became the owner and agent of the local State Farm Insurance agency in 1977. He was a member of the local Sertoma Club of Venice and also served as Past President of the Venice Kiwanis Club. Harry was a swim official with the Sarasota Sharks for many years. Surviving family members include his wife Gerry of Venice; daughters Heather of Venice, and Alicia of Venice, FL; a sister Vivian Taylor of Deland, FL. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
