June 15th, 1922 - December 9th, 2013
WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Hazel Link Cagle, 91, of West Columbia, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Still Hopes Employee Appreciation Fund, One Still Hopes Drive, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Cagle, beloved wife of the late John D. Cagle, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013. Born in Anderson County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Johnson David Link and Eula Belle Wilson Link. Mrs. Cagle was a retired employee of the Lexington County Health Department with her last position being the WIC Coordinator. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a longtime Sunday School Teacher and choir member. She served on numerous church committees as well as having an extended card ministry on behalf of the church. Surviving are her daughters, Joan Cagle Green (Paul) of Cartersville, GA and Dinah L. Cagle of Cayce, SC; son, Johnny L. Cagle (Sharon) of Aiken, SC; three grandchildren, Cassie S. Cagle, Bates Cagle Sellers (Jacob) and Thomas John Green (Stacie); one great-grandson, Griffin Thomas Green. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, David Link. The family would like to thank Still Hopes for their wonderful love and care since February of 2010.
