Helen J. (Hornsby) Coviello Theobald, always with a kind smile, silently strong and a challenging poker player, completed her journey here on earth September 18, 2021 in the peace of her Winter Haven, FL home. Helen was born in Manchester, Clay County, KY, moved to Davenport, FL in 1934 and later met her husband, Rocky M. Coviello, the father of her three beloved sons. The family moved to Daytona Beach, FL where she helped manage the Coviello Tile Installation Company and enjoyed raising her very active and athletic three boys, Robbie, Danny and Henry. The family eventually moved back to Davenport, FL and Helen opened the L&H Dress Shop and operated the local Greyhound Bus depot with her older sister, Laura L. Hornsby Nable. Helen worked for many years as a Store Manager at the Haines City TG&Y Store before finishing her working career at Heart of Florida Hospital as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed her retirement years traveling many states in the US and many countries in Europe with her second husband, Englishman, Alex Theobald. They lived on his farm in England for several summer months each year. Everyone Helen met thought of her as the kindest, sweetest person with the most beautiful warm smile. She loved her Hornsby family and enjoyed spending time with her brothers, sister-in-laws, playing penny poker and reminiscing about all the fun they shared in their younger years. Helen will be fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched. Go rest high in Heaven, Helen! Helen was preceded in death by husband, Rocky M. Coviello; sons, Rocky M. Coviello, Jr, Daniel Coviello, Henry Coviello; husband, Alex Theobald; sister, Laura L. Hornsby Nable; brothers, Henry C. Hornsby, James R. Hornsby, Benjamin F. Hornsby, Jr, Joseph R. Hornsby, Robert J. Hornsby and half-brother, Irvin Mader. Survivors include grandsons, Bryan Coviello and Matthew Coviello, loving nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, FL Friday, September 24, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport, FL.
