Helga Fayme Hunt
July 16th, 1939 - January 5th, 2014
Helga Fayme Hunt, 74 of Pengilly died Sunday, January 5, 2014 in her home. She was born July 16, 1939 in Cedar Valley to Heino and Fayme Hendrickson. When Helga was two years old her mother died. Her father married Edna Myllykangas and Helga was raised by Heino and Edna. Helga grew up in Cedar Valley and graduated from Floodwood High School in 1958. On July 25th she married Ted Hunt in Minneapolis. They made their home in Minneapolis where Helga worked in banking. In the early 1970's they moved to Pengilly and Helga continued working in banking in Hibbing and for a short time in Grand Rapids. Helga was a member of Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Cedar Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fayme Hendrickson and Heino and Edna Hendrickson. Helga is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ted; children, Glen (Kathy) of Cedar Valley, Karen (John) Calaguire of Nashwauk, and Rod of Pengilly; 10 grandchildren, Rebecca, Angela and Noah Hunt, Samantha (T.J.) Young, Cassandra (Dustin) Junes, Joe (Rachel) Calaguire, Christine (Sam) Olson, Brandon and Rachel Hunt, and Jena (Ryan) Labine; and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 10, 2014 in the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Cedar Valley. Burial was in Cedar Valley Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
