March 25th, 1944 - December 1st, 2017
Helga L. Romero passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 1, 2017. Helga was born on March 25, 1944, in Frankfurt, Germany. She moved to California at the age of 19, making her home here on the Monterey Peninsula. Helga is survived by her children Rob Romero, Tina Morgan, and Tracy Romero as well as her grandchildren, Venicia Morgan, Janelle Morgan, Marque Gibson and Elijah Gibson. She is also survived by her five great grandchildren. Helga was preceded in death by her loving husband Ben Romero and her brother Norbert "Butch" Henss. A private Graveside Service will be held in late December at Mission Memorial Park and Seaside Funeral Home.

Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
