Henry Leppla

Henry Leppla of Mesa Arizona passed away on Tuesday, December 17th 2013 at the age of 86. Henry was born in Phoenix on February 25, 1927 and attended North High School. After serving in the US Navy during WWII, he returned to AZ and graduated from ASU. He entered the family citrus business and went on to found Leppla Moving & Storage in Mesa, which he owned and operated for 58 years until his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Elva and his children Mary Rick Weber of Chandler, Lorraine Nelms of San Diego CA and Jenny Ruth Gianluca Filippi of Milan Italy. He is also survived by his adopted children Norman Carol of Gainesville FLA and Caroline Kelly of Huntington Beach CA and his wife's children Susie Benton of Chandler, Dayne Papineau Dana of Mesa and his sister Fanchon Iglehart of Mesa along with 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son David and stepson Brad Benton. The funeral will be held at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa on Saturday December 21st 2013 with viewing from 9:00 AM and service at 10:00 AM followed by a graveside ceremony at the City of Mesa Cemetery.
