Herbert Lee Bragg, 82, peacefully departed us on March 3, 2024, surrounded by his cherished loved ones.  He was born in Colorado Springs on December 27, 1941, to Herbert Bragg and RosaLee Gray.

His life spoke volumes about the power of unconditional love, joy, and meaningful connections.  Colorado Springs was home for Herbert Lee, and it was there that he met the love of his life, Kathleen, in 1976.  Together they embarked on a journey filled with love and happiness.  Their bond was a magnificent example of the enduring power of true love.

Herbert Lee was a lover of life.  He had a passion for music and his moves would light up the dance floor.  He loved his travels to England and could eat his weight in Fish & Chips.  Kindness personified, he was a beacon of selflessness and positivity.

He loved the outdoors and would seldom pass up an opportunity to go camping and fishing.  He also found joy in the simple things – playing scratch tickets, Saturday night bingo or just enjoying a beautiful sunny day on the front porch.  This love of the outdoors led him to start his own landscaping business.  During his sunset years, Herbert Lee came to know the Lord and expressed his faith often.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathleen A Bragg; Sons Herbert (June) Bragg Jr (Colorado Springs) and Santiago (Cathy) Espinosa (Denver); Daughters Diana (Greg) Lauman (Texas), Cindy (Barry) Brauer (Colorado Springs), Amanda (Jorge) Yniguez (California) and Charlotte Espinosa (Colorado Springs);  Sisters Claudean Brooks (Colorado Springs), Terri (Rodney) Bragg-Winters (Nevada) and Ruth (Troy) Franklin-Gilyard (California). He had 21 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great Granddaughter.

Herbert Lee leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured by those who were lucky enough to truly know him.  His presence will be missed but his spirit will be in our hearts and amongst us forever.

Preceded in death by Sons Albert Bragg and Patrick Espinosa; Brothers Stanley T Bragg, Steven D (Baby Boy) Bragg and Sisters Cheryl Shields, Shaunte M. Bragg, and Patricia Stevens.
