Irene Myrtle Kiser
February 24th, 1928 - September 21st, 2024
Irene Myrtle Kiser passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, at her home in Colorado Springs, at the age of 96. She was born April 24, 1928, the second eldest of 13 children to Ivan and Daisy Davis in Pavia, Pennsylvania.
Irene moved to Colorado Springs with her husband Bob and two children, Lovena and Bobby, in 1955. She had a full life as a real estate associate and retired from Montgomery Wards. Irene and her husband Bob were ranchers, raising cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens.
She loved collecting antiques and in particular, cookie jars. Her collection of over 1,800 jars was a joy to share with friends and family. She was an accomplished carpenter, decorator and chef. In 2000 she married Walter Evans of East Freedom, Pennsylvania, a High School sweetheart. They were married 11 years before Walter’s passing.
She was a widow or Bob Kiser and Walter Evans. She is preceded in death by her son, Bobby, her siblings; Helen, Howard, Warren, Dorothy, Dolores, Gerald, Leon, Linda, and stepson, Rodney.
She is survived by her daughter, Lovena, Colorado Springs, Colorado, stepdaughters; Yvonne Flaugh (Dennis), East Freedom, Pennsylvania, Sherry Beckhel (Dale), Curryville, Pennsylvania, Melody Barnhart, Bedford, Pennsylvania, brothers; Kenneth Davis, Imler, Pennsylvania, Ernest Davis (Sharon), Alum Bank, Pennsylvania, sisters; Shelby Davis, Alum Bank, Pennsylvania, Eileen Juhl-Pardo, Arizona City, Arizona, Sharon Davis, Calhan, Colorado, sister-in-law, Elis Davis wife of Gerald Davis, Imler, Pennsylvania, four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Irene will be buried with her first husband Bob and son Bobby at Memorial Gardens located on Airport and Academy in Colorado Springs, at 2:00pm, October 1, 2024.
She will be sadly missed.
