Jack Orlando Abel, Sr. 90, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Charis Assisted Living in Cocoa, FL. Born November 6, 1924 in Mishawaka, Indiana, he was a retired master machinist and a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy. Preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine, he is survived by: 2 sons, Jack O. Abel, Jr. of Greer, SC and Gregory N. Abel of Winter Haven, FL; and a grandson, Jack O. Abel, III. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery with military honors. Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
