James Denley Blalock, 72, of Lexington, SC passed away November 30, 2016. He was born on March 15, 1944 in Columbia, SC to Roland Lee Blalock and Vivian Wilson. James is survived by his wife, Wanda Blalock; sons, Denny (Jaime) Blalock and Kevin Blalock; grandchildren, Jade and Logan Blalock; siblings, Roland Blalock, Jr, Lottie "Mary" Hyatt, Lydia Thayer, and Francine Hoover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine "Nannie" Black; and an adopted sister, Doris Hall. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Hwy, Lexington, SC, on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
