Graveside services celebrating the life of James Earl Boulware, 81, of Hopkins who passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 in Greenlawn Memorial. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 4-6pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road Columbia SC 29209. Memorials may be made to Pets Inc. PO Box 6394 West Columbia SC 29171. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home in handling the arrangements. Born May 31, 1931 in Fairfield County, SC he was the son of the late Luther Boulware and Evelyn Boney Boulware, he proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Boulware was well known in the community for his gardening talents, where he often shared his produce with family & friends. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47years, Linda Jordan Boulware; daughter, Melissa Blackwell and her husband Andy, Wanda Ray, Carolyn Lucas, Cathy Faulkenberry and Debbie Baker; sisters, Ethel Smith; grandchildren, Jessica and Andrew Blackwell; great-grandchildren, Grace and Rylynn Blackwell.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
