James Breese
March 26th, 1958 - April 29th, 2012
James (Jim) Michael Breese, 54 of Thornton, CO died April 29, 2012 at home. Jim and his twin brother Tim were born to Bill & Edna Breese in Holyoke, MA on March 26, 1958. They were the first of three children with their sister Julie following five years later. With Jim’s father working for the FAA the family moved often throughout the country. The family settled in Albuquerque, NM and he graduated from Sandia High School in May of 1977 and he enlisted with the US Navy in August of 1977 at the age of 19. He was stationed on the USS Alamo as a communication specialist in Hawaii. He was honourably discharged. Jim made his home in Denver following his discharge from the military. He became the proud father of a little girl Tanya on Father’s Day June 17,1982. He spent his adult working life as an over the road truck driver travelling the continent, drove excavating trucks, water fracking trucks and miscellaneous other trucking positions. He spent his down time with his daughter and her family, his nephew Justin, attending each and every Bronco game for the last 14 years, walking his beloved dog Sasha, fishing all the local watering holes, playing softball with his brother Tim, nephew Justin and the rest of the church league; watching NASCAR and was even able to go to a few of the races in person, attending many of the Rockies games with his family and enjoyed life to the very fullest. Jim was an attender of LIFE Fellowship since 1992. He was known for his love of movies, family time over the BBQ, using the word ‘man’ excessively (now greatly missed), his devotion for his beloved football team the Denver Broncos and his deep love of his extended family. Jim was proceeded in death by his paternal & maternal grandparents. He is survived by his parents Bill & Edna Breese, his brother Timothy Breese and wife Nancy, sister Julie Conrad and husband Murray, daughter Tanya Buchholz and husband Damian, nephew Justin Breese and wife Amanda, nieces Kristen Conrad and Stephanie Conrad; grandchildren Tori Dieterle, Dakota Buchholz, Owen Buchholz & Logen Buchholz and great-nephew Malachi Breese. Jim’s family will be honouring his life in a funeral service at LIFE Fellowship church at 11500 Sheridan Blvd. in Westminster, CO on monday, may 7th at 10:00am followed by a military memorial service with full honours at Ft. Logan Cemetery at 12:30pm. Pastor Ed Bulkley will be officiating at the funeral service.
