James DeCarlo, age 84, of Venice, Florida, passed away on January 31, 2011. He was born on October 1, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a business manager for several companies in New York and New Jersey. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. He moved to Venice in 1987 from Hillsborough, New Jersey. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary; a daughter, Maria DeCarlo of Bradenton, Florida; three sons, Jay of Oak Hill, Virginia, Joe of Purcellville, Virginia and John of Winter Haven, Florida; a sister, Angelina Chirico of Brooklyn, New York and a brother, Joseph of East Meadow, New York. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren. A gathering will be held from 12:30PM-1:30PM with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 1:30PM on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida.
