September 10th, 1949 - July 28th, 2014
James "Jimmy" Michael Donahue, Sr. 64, of Hopkins passed away, July 28, 2014 at Palmetto Health Richland. Born September 10, 1949 in Walterboro, SC he was a son of the late Joe David, Jr., and Bessie Lee (Benton) Donahue. He was the owner of Donahue's Garage & Towing since 1974, and was a former member of Harrelson Road Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas "Tommy" L. Donahue; brothers and sister, Joe D., III, Louis and Louise Donahue. Mr. Donahue is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Ann Donahue; son, Mike (Jenny) Donahue; granddaughter, Rachel Dryden; grandsons, Micky (Brittney) Donahue and Michael Lee Donahue; great grandchildren, Angel and J.D. Dryden, and Jordyn Donahue; as well as four brothers, three sisters and their families. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery, 5601 Old Leesburg Road, Hopkins, SC 29061, with Pastor Kenn Busbee officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
