James Fuss

James Arthur Fuss 84, from Northglenn Colorado and passed on the eve of July 30th 2014 @ 5:54PM. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 12th 1930 to the parents Marie and Ernest Fuss. He graduated from York High School in 1948. He then joined the Navy where he served in the Korean War on the USS Bremerton and was then hoobituariesnorably discharged 1952. He attended Denver University for accounting where met the love of his life named Ayla. He married Ayla on September 22, 1956. Jim and Ayla operated their own business making custom draperies, known as A&J Custom draperies. Jim Fuss’ favorite past time was watching sports, fishing, travelling to Turkey and making sure everyone had a ‘cold one’. He loved Nebraska Cornhuskers football. No matter which of his favorite teams were playing, his catchphrase was always: “Go Broncs!” He lived and breathed Colorado sports whether it was cheering on his favorite football team in the Denver Broncos or cheering on his newfound baseball team that made the term “Rocktober” famous. He loved his home state of Nebraska making frequent trips to York, where Jim grew up, to visit friends and family as well as his favorite restaurant “Chances R”. He loved traveling with his wife, making frequent trips to their condo in Turkey as well as visiting many European countries. Jim will be deeply missed. Jim Fuss is survived by his wife Ayla, his three children David, John and Kathleen, his five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister named Mary Ann Meals who lives in Nevada and five nephews. Jim was also the grandfather of the late Matthew David Fuss who passed away in 1994. Services for Jim Arthur Fuss are on August 6, 2014 at 1:00PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery Address: 3698 S.
