James Edwin Madison
November 23rd, 1929 - January 12th, 2017
Mr. James Edwin Madison, age 87 of Toccoa, GA passed away Thursday January 12, 2017 at his residence. A son of the late William and Edna Jacquay Madison, he was born on November 23, 1928 in New York, NY having lived most of his life in New York and Florida having recently moved to Toccoa in 2013. A United States Veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean War in the 24th Infantry Division. He was retired from AT&T Telephone Company. A member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, V.F.W. Post #4346 and the Lavonia Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Madison. Survivors include a son, William Madison of Eastanollee, a daughter, Anna Madison of New York, grandchildren and spouses, Nicole and Robert Scott, Stephanie and Joseph Burdette and William and Courtney Madison all of Toccoa, two great grandchildren, Matthew Shirley and Joshua Madison and a brother Zeke Madison of Dolgeville, NY. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 11:00 am until the funeral at 12 noon with Pastor Charles Harkala officiating, all at Oak ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral at Rolling Hills Cemetery, Winter Haven, FL.
