James Thomas McCann, 81, of Venice, Florida passed away on January 31, 2021. Born in Manhattan, New York on November 9, 1939 to James and Mildred McCann. James went on to have a fulfilling career in the Federal Aviation Administration as a Flight Operations Inspector and pilot. He enjoyed playing bridge with friends. James was a devout Catholic at our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Venice, Florida, and other Catholic Parishes in California and Shelter Island, New York. James leaves behind his beloved wife Joan McCann, as well as his sons James McCann and Douglas McCann. Grandfather to Kelly, Allison, James, Shane and Nicki, and great grandfather to Rudi.
