James F. Paitrick, 70 of Cloquet died Saturday, July 26, 2003 in his home. He was born October 24, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisc. to Richard and Josephine (Stolliker) Paitrick. His family moved to Floodwood when he was a young boy and he graduated from Floodwood High School in 1952. Jim was an Army Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. In 1955 he returned to the area, making his home in Cloquet. For 33 years he worked at Conwed and in 1987 he went to work at the Duluth News Tribune until his retirement in 1996. Jim was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the Cloquet VFW. He enjoyed bowling, camping with his family and playing bingo. Jim was preceded in death by 1 brother and 5 sisters. He is survived by his six children, Anthony (Rebecca) Paitrick of Golden Valley, Lynn Rauschenfels of Cloquet, Mary Paitrick of Madison, Wisc., Teresa (Alvin) Bryant, Tom Paitrick and Timothy Paitrick all of Cloquet; brothers, Joseph (Luella) Paitrick and Richard (Donna) Paitrick both of Milwaukee, Wisc.; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Military Honors were accorded by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. Burial was in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Carlton. Memorial contributions may be made to Queen of Peace Catholic Church or to St. Mary's Hospice.
