James Walter Patty
December 26th, 1952 - April 16th, 2023
James W. Patty age 70 of Marina, CA passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Jim was born in Chattanooga, TN on December 26, 1952. He retired as a police officer, having worked with both the Seaside and Sand City Police Departments, in 2013. But law enforcement was Jim's second career after he retired from the United States Marine Corps after 30 years of active-duty service. He retired with the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant and the technical specialty of Cryptologic/Electronic Warfare Chief. Jim is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret Murphy of Dublin, Ireland. He is also survived by his 3 children, Karen and her partner Jamie of Bozeman, MT, James and his wife Lesley of Sacramento, CA, and Karla and her husband Brian of Concord, CA. Jim was a loving and beloved Grandad to his 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 'Nuff Said. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity organization of your choice.
