James Rae

James A Rae of Arvada, Colorado died April 21, 2017 at Collier Hospice Center following a long illness. He was a Colorado native born in Denver. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Frank E. Evans, SS-754 as a radar man. Upon leaving the Navy he worked at Dow Chemical- Rocky Flats from 1969-1971; followed by 38 years with the then Ma Bell, currently known as Century Link where he was a phone technician. He enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Christine (Moore) Rae of Arvada, Co., 2 sons John Johnson of Fort Lupton, Co., Kevin Johnson of Temecula, Ca., 4 step-sons Patrick Desmond of Lakewood, Co., Christopher and Shawn Desmond both of CT., and Edward Desmond of Denver, Co. 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. 2 brothers Craig Rae of Aurora, Co., and Ronald Rae of Conifer, Co., and a sister Colleen Fridge of Thornton, Co., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
