James Elmer Sanderson
November 5th, 1927 - October 2nd, 2012
Prundale- James Elmer Sanderson (Sandy) entered into eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 2nd 2012 at C.H.O.M.P following an extended illness. James was born in Gonzales, Ca. on November 5th 1927 to Alva and Helen Sanderson and was a life long resident of Monterey County. James was a graduate of Monterey High School. After graduating he drove school bus for the M.P.U.S.D. At 21 years of age he joined the City of Monterey Fire Dept where he served for 8 years as a Fire Fighter/Engineer. He later worked for 25 years with the Calabrese Construction Company and 4 years with Hillsdale Rock before his retirement in 1986. He is survived by his wife of 65 years; Loretta Sanderson, four children; Cathy Vanderville of Herlong Ca., Cindy Canepa of Prunedale Ca., Doug Sanderson of Prunedale Ca. and Serena Mahlan of Olathe Ks., eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and loved ones. James was member of ?The Country Church? 14485 Del Monte Farms Rd. Prunedale, Ca. any donations are requested to be sent there. Visitation is on Thursday, October 4th from 5-8 p.m. and funeral service on Friday October 5th , 1 p.m., all at Mission Mortuary, Monterey, CA.
