James Albert Woollett, 86 of Cloquet passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 in Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. He was born April 25, 1934 in Meadowlands Township, Minnesota to Sidney and Virginia Woollett. At the age of 17, Jim joined the Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Helen Flasch on April 27, 1956. They made their home in Cloquet and Jim worked at Wood Conversion. Jim was a former member of the Carlton VFW. He enjoyed wood working and deer hunting. Jim was preceded in death by five siblings, Jack and Sidney Woollett, Shirley Putnam, Janice O'Neil, and Dorothy Kelly. He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Jeff (Alice) and Steve (Kathy) both of Cloquet; one daughter, Tami (Craig) Meseroll of Cloquet; one sister, Beverly (Richard) Nelson of Moose Lake; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Visitation: 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service Friday, July 24, 2020 in the Atkins Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Masks are required. Military Honors will be accorded by the Cloquet Combined Honor Guard. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Barnum. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
