May 28th, 1943 - March 30th, 2005
Jane Emilie Minkkinen, 61, Cloquet, died peacefully Wednesday, March 30, 2005 in St. Luke's Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born May 28, 1943 in Bertha, MN, the daughter of Ely and Regina (Spychalla) Pollak. Jane will be fondly remembered as an incredibly caring and giving person. She always had an open door and an open heart for everyone. Jane loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed growing flowers on her deck, was an avid Vikings fan and loved collecting Beanie Babies. Jane was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and the Cloquet VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded by a sister, Rose Juntunen; two brothers, Ray Pollak and Jim Pollak and two infant siblings. Jane is survived by her children, Roberta "Bobbie" Minkkinen (Mark Follett) of Esko, Sandi Minkkinen (Jeff Follett) of Carlton, David (Kristy Anne) Minkinnen of Eden Prairie, Dale Minkkinen (Wilma Morton) of Cloquet and Sheryl (Mark) Isbell of Coon Rapids; 11 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; four sisters, Lillian Noska and Amy (Bob) Schoen, both of Cloquet, Mary Thurow of Poplar, WI and Shirley Johnson of Superior; one brother, Butch Pollak of Birchwood, WI and a special daughter, Randy Viscioni of Duluth. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, April 4, 2005 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 4th Street, Cloquet. Burial wasin New Calvary Cemetery, Cloquet.
