WEST COLUMBIA: Funeral services for Jane Daryl Mitchell, 72, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Reverend Thom Jones. Interment will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Johnson, Jack Parker, Jim Pullium and Morris Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Lexington Sheriff, Jimmy Meetze, Bill Bowen, Mabry Williams, Bill Kimple, Tom Gault, Fritz Hill, Lester Moore, T.H. Suitt and Sid Mitchell. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Mrs. Mitchell passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Born in Fairmont, NC, she was a daughter of the late Edward Coleman and Frances Nye Coleman. She was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mitchell was retired from Belk Department Store after 25 years of service. Surviving is her loving husband, M.C. "Mitch" Mitchell of West Columbia; son, Jack Derrick Mitchell (Maria) of Honduras ( Roatan Island); grandson, Chase Mitchell of Richmond, VA and nieces, Charlotte and Whitney of Greenville.
