Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Janet Aldis
August 26th, 1941 - November 23rd, 2021
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Janet Aldis. She was born on 08/26/1941 in Norwich, England and passed away on Tuesday, 11/23/2021 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice Campus at the age of 80. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Aldis. Loving mother of Glenn Aldis (Karen) and the late Stephen Aldis. Cherished Nana to Emma and Amanda. Janet was a young woman in England when she met the love of her life, Mike. In her early 20s, she and Mike moved to Canada, and then later to California where they raised their two sons. They eventually settled in Venice, Florida to enjoy their retirement years. Coming from a family of twelve and being born with the gift to make friends everywhere she went, it's an understatement to say that Janet was loved deeply throughout her entire life. Some of the greatest memories her family and friends will take with them are the nights spent with her by the dinner table laughing and sharing stories. Janet will always be remembered as a generous and selfless person. She was also a lover of animals and gardening. She grew herbs and beautiful flowers in her backyard that invited rabbits and birds to play in. Janet touched so many hearts during her time on Earth. It's safe to say that the impact she left on those who had the honor to know her will last forever, and she will live on through the memories she gave us. The Memorial service to celebrate her life will be on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Venice"".
