JC Kimbrough
June 1st, 1938 - November 2nd, 2022
On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, JC Kimbrough, beloved husband, passed away at the age of 84 years-old. Born to Lula Kimbrough and Julius Colvin in Eutaw, Alabama. JC graduated from Carver High School in Eutaw. After graduating, JC left Alabama to enlist in the Army. When JC was stationed in Los Angeles, California he met his wife, Celia “Marie” Kimbrough, whom he was married to for over 50 years. After completing his service in the Army he attended some college at Monterey Peninsula College. Eventually JC was hired as a tire builder at Firestone, in Salinas, California, where he worked for a number of years. After the closure of Firestone, JC started a new career as a disk manufacturer at IBM, in San Jose, California, for 10 years. He then decided to take a pre-retirement. JC was an active and devoted member of the American Legion and VFW in Seaside, California. He enjoyed traveling, family vacation road trips to Alabama, to visit family and friends, watching football and basketball, and spending time with friends at the American Legion and VFW. JC was known for being funny, talkative, a hard worker, reliable, helpful, and responsible. JC is survived by his wife, Celia “Marie” Kimbrough, son, Jason Kimbrough, daughter-in-law, Ruth Johnson-Kimbrough, and stepgrandson, Shawn Johnson, brother, James Kimbrough, sister-in-laws, Edna Myricks, Martha James, brother-in-law, Wesley “Buddy” Mason, nieces, Edna James, McKiva James, and Trenia Mason, and nephews, Jim Myricks, James “Tunie”James, Sam James, Jr., and Dwight Mason. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and a Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Memorial Park at 1915 Ord Grove Avenue, Seaside, California 93955.
