Jean Marie Haynes Stroud (Jeannie), surrounded by her children and family passed away peacefully at Palmetto Baptist Hospital on December 23, 2010. Jeannie was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, cousin, niece and friend who was deeply loved and will be missed by all. She was a graduate of Lower Richland High School and attended Technical School in Nashville TN. She was formerly employed by W. W. Grainger and Dillon Supply Company as an inside sales associate. She was very devoted to making sure that her children Lee, Lindsey, Paige and Kenny were working hard every day whether it be towards their career, nursing school, baseball or soccer. There was never a day without a phone call (most times more than one) to check in and get the I?m ok from the kids. She loved spending time with her family and friends and always made sure the kitchen was cleaned up after our gatherings before she left so we didn?t have to. She also never left without saying ?I love you? and when we said ?I love you too? she always said ?I love you more?. Jeannie, we love you more too. Jeannie was predeceased by her grandparents, Sara Marie Haynes, Donald Leo Haynes, Sr., Eileen Culpepper Allen and James Ellyson Allen, Sr. Those left to cherish her precious memories are her children, Lee Stroud, Lindsey Marie Stroud, Paige Dixon, and Kenny Dixon; her loving parents, Don and Marianne Haynes; her siblings, Donnie (Suzie) Haynes, Jimmy (Judy) Haynes, and Pam (Lee) Haynes Gross; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly. Please join us Monday, January 3, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Lebanon United Methodist Church, 10220 Garners Ferry Road, Eastover, South Carolina to celebrate the life of Jeannie.

Greenlawn Memorial Park

Greenlawn Memorial Park

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
