LOUGHREY, Jeanne Frances (Baklarz), age 87, of Davenport, FL, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 after an extended illness. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on January 1, 1936, to the late Walter and Mary Baklarz. She lived in the Pittsburgh area before relocating to Florida in 2005. Jeanne graduated from Sacred Heart High School and studied nursing at Pittsburgh Hospital. She graduated nursing school in 1956 and worked as an operating room nurse for over 35 years. She spent the majority of her career at Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington, PA and worked there until her retirement in 1996. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph M. Loughrey, Jr; and her four children Donna Brown (David) of Bethel Park, PA; Joan Mason of Westminster, MD; Kenneth Loughrey (Michele) of Ocala, FL and Ann Samuelson (Bradley) of Houston, TX. She is also survived by her fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her brother James W. Baklarz and sister Jane K. Dick. She was predeceased by a grandson, Cory Lee Mason. Jeanne was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved to read, cook and do crafts. She had a kind and generous heart and will be missed by many. A mass of Christian burial will be held at a later date at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Celebration, FL
