Jeanne Marie Shrake

Age 85, died peacefully on March 6, 2018. Preceded in death by infant daughter Mary Elizabeth, parents, Arthur & Mabel Bowman, siblings Bob, Mary and Bill. Jeanne found great comfort and joy in her Catholic faith and was an active member of St. Mark’s parish in St. Paul. Jeanne is survived by her loving husband Jim, their 8 children; Kathy, Ann (Tom Schlangen), Dick (Elaine Kumpula), John (Patti), Tom (Kelley Loughrey), Jane (Mike Schlangen), Marty (Laura) and Pat (Karen). She leaves behind a legacy of 23 grand-children and 16 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, longtime girlfriends and many friends. She was the matriarch of her family and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, from 4-8 pm at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave, St. Paul, MN 55105. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11 am with visitation starting at 10 am at the Church of St. Mark, 2001 Dayton Ave, St. Paul, MN 55104. If attending services, Jeanne's wish is that you wear floral or bright colors. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Winona, MN. Memorials preferred to St. Mark's or the charity of your choice.
