Jeffrey Scott Shelton

HAINES CITY - Jeffrey Scott Shelton, 49, of Haines City died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his home. He was born June 23, 1962 in Camden, New Jersey to Rev. Howard and Veronica Shelton. Through God's grace and mercy Jeff has matured to be the believer we celebrate. Jeff was educated in the Willingboro school system and excelled scholastically and participated at the varsity level in football and basketball. Jeff as a child was always lighthearted, friendly and cheerful. He always had a pleasant smile and a joyful attitude. Jeff attended Pennypacker Park Elementary School, Abraham Levitt Junior High School and Willingboro High School. After graduation Jeff continued his education at Bloomfield College in Essex County, New Jersey. Jeffrey had three children from a previous marriage: Shane, Tara and Ryan. He acquired valuable medical technician skills as an employee of Quest Diagnostic. He also served as head of quality control for Diamond Resort, International. Jeffrey married his current wife Eithne Beale in 2005 and resided in Las Vegas, Nevada. In August, 2010, Jeffrey and Eithne moved to Florida. Jeffrey gave his life to Jesus in 1993. He was Baptized on January 15, 2012 at the NorthRidge Church. He also completed the classes for membership at the church. Before his death, Jeffrey continued his commitment to the service of the Lord under the leadership of NorthRidge's Pastor Dr. M. David Myers. He was always available and worked closely with the pastor in visiting the sick and shut-ins. He realized that the Christian life was a life of service to the Lord. Now he has received his great reward of being at home with Jesus. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his parents Rev. Howard and Veronica Shelton of Haines City; devoted wife Eithne of Haines City; one brother Howard J. (Phyllis) Shelton, Jr. of Lumberton, New Jersey; two sisters Lea R. Osborn of Vineland, New Jersey and Nada V. (Rolanzo) Kinniebrew of Edgewater Park, New Jersey; and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held Sunday June 24, 2012 from 2-3PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 3PM at NorthRidge Church in Haines City.
