Jennifer Muriel Bendickson (Jenny Keeble), Čhokáta Ku Wiŋ Jenny died on Sunday, September 18th, 2022 around 10:30 pm. She was 74 years old. She lived in Saint Paul, MN. She is survived by her Husband Sam Bendickson. She is also survived by her sons and daughter in-laws Darrin & Crystal Bendickson, Noel & Sunny Bendickson, Sampson Bendickson & Krista Flores, and Joe & Katie Bendickson. She is survived by 17 grandchildren – Samantha Bendickson, Sarah Bendickson, Sarita Bendickson, Ian Ashton Sanford, Brandyn Bendickson, Isma’il Ahmed, Olivia Bendickson, Eli Adams, Sage Tapio, Aria Bendickson, Chance Bendickson, Ella Bendickson-Flores, Miles Bendickson, Paris Sheppard, Lewis Sheppard, Phoebe Bendickson, and Samuel Bendickson. She is survived by one great-granddaughter Lisa Burris. She is survived by two older brothers and one older sister - Richard Keeble Jr. (Dedria Keeble); Dennis Keeble; and Karen Keeble Brown (Duane Brown). She is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents – Richard Keeble Sr. and Naomi Keeble (Gill). She was also preceded in death by her adopted siblings – Matt (Chucky) Gill Jr. and Theodore Hatle. Jenny was born in Sisseton, South Dakota on February 8th, 1948. She lived in Enemy Swim, SD until she started kindergarten then her family moved to Sisseton, SD. She graduated high school from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM. She graduated from nursing school at Lake Area Tech in Watertown, SD. She married Sam Bendickson on August 13th, 1970. They were married for 52 years. They lived in Texas, South Dakota, and Minnesota. Jenny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and daughter. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She loved her Dakota people, culture, history, and language. She worked for many years as a nurse, homemaker, and florist. She dedicated the later years of her life to revitalizing the Dakota language. She taught her family the values and lifeways to ensure the ways would survive to the next generation. Her legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
