Jerrold "J.C." Cain

J.C. Cain, 80, Pinellas Park, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 25, 2021. J.C. (aka Jerrold, Butch or Chuck) was born November 21, 1940 in Rensselaer, Indiana. He was employed with State Farm Insurance for 32 years and was a retired agency manager. He spent his time between his two homes in Pinellas Park, Florida and Monticello, Indiana. J.C. graduated from Rensselaer High School and was inducted into Rensselaer High School Sports Hall of Fame. He also graduated from Indiana University where he was Freshman Class President and was in the Sigma Nu Fraternity. J.C. was past President of the Eagles Lodge, past President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and past Vice President of St. Matthews Church. He worked on many Cursillo teams and Kairos (prison ministries) and also worked/volunteered for Metropolitan Ministries. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Clearwater, Florida. J.C. loved life and everyone he met including poor and homeless people. He was hardworking, honest and he LOVED THE LORD! Since retiring, his passion was cooking and baking for neighbors, family and friends. He always said GOD blessed him more than he deserved. He asked that we celebrate his life, do not mourn his passing. And know that he 'loves us ALL more than his luggage'. J.C. is preceded in death by his son J.C. Cain, parents Chuck and Mid Cain and sister Jan Spurgeon. He leaves behind to cherish his memory...Tina Marie White (daughter), two grandchildren Jayce Cary White (grandson) and Saisha DeRae Marton (granddaughter) and one great grandson Landon Jacob White, two siblings Mike Cain (brother) and Marsha Gentry (sister) and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life is being held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, Fl. The family will begin receiving guests at 1:00 p.m., services will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m.. For those who are unable to attend, the service will also be available via Livestream thru Oak Ridge Funeral Care's website.
