Jessie R. Duran
February 12th, 1943 - April 2nd, 2024
On Tuesday April 2nd, 2024, Jessie Raigosa Duran, passed away peacefully in San Jose, California, at the age of 81. Jessie was born February 12th, 1943, in Colton, California to the late Manuel and Charlotte Duran. He was the second child of nine children. Ralph, John, Beloved Mary, Beloved Raymond, Manuel, Rudy, Cindy, and,Kathy. He was married to the love of his life, Ana Sylvia Duran for 56 years. They had three children, Debra, Jesus (a.k.a Chuy), and Edward Duran. He was a grandfather to Edward Jr, Brianna, Audrey, Sakaya, Taryn, and Jacob, also Natalie, Frankie, and Alexander. Jessie honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a rifleman in the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he started his career in auto body work at the Ford Motor Company. After his retirement from the Ford Motor Company, he pursued a new career at the City of San Jose in Public Works. In Jessie's younger years, he loved fixing cars, taking camping trips with his family, and celebrating with his friends. He loved everything about being a grandfather, from taking his grandchildren to school, to cooking their favorite meals. When he was not watching old western movies, he enjoyed playing dominos and listening to Oldies but Goodies. Our Papa will truly be missed and forever in our hearts.
