He is also survived by his very much-loved daughter who attended Clemson University, Amy Rogers Stier and his two grandchildren Samantha and Ryan Stier. Other surviving family members are his beloved sister, Gloria Hightower; his brother-in-law and wife, Donnie and Barbara Shumpert; his brother-in-law, Kinny Shumpert; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also had many friends who loved and respected him. And last but not least he is survived by his loving cat Ruthie. He and Linda are both members of First Baptist Church of Columbia. He dearly loved First Baptist and often said that he felt good inside after a church service. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and now he is with him without any pain.

We Entrusted Jimmy Rogers's Care To
Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
