John F. Banocy, Jr., age 83, of Venice, Florida, passed away on April 28, 2023. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan to John and Katherine Banocy on August 12, 1939. John was a US Navy veteran serving on the USS Yosomite. He worked as an independent sales representative for over 250 quilt shops. In 1986, he left Algonac, Michigan and moved to the Venice area. John loved playing poker, fishing and deer hunting. His favorite pass time was watercolor painting, which earned him the name “Papa Dali”. John is survived by his wife, Arlene Banocy; daughters Cheryl, Kelly, Chrissy, and Johnna; his sister, Sharon; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. No services are scheduled at this time.
