John Robert Behm

John R. Behm Jr. passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018 in Plymouth, Utah at age 90. A long-time Colorado resident, John spent most of his life in Holly, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. John married Violet Behm in Raton, New Mexico on August 7, 1955. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS temple in June of 1965.Among other endeavors, John owned and operated a Sinclair gas station in Holly. After the 1965 flood in Holly, John moved his family to Colorado Springs where he began a career in the construction industry. He worked in that profession until his retirement. John was well known throughout Colorado Springs for his skill, hard work, and energy.John and Violet treasured their children and grandchildren, and loved the little cabin in Bear Creek Canyon they lived in for the last twenty-four years of their life together.John was preceded in death by his wife Violet, parents, Adam and Eve Behm, five brothers and six sisters. John was the youngest child in his large family.John is survived by five children, John Jr. (Susan) of Lehi, Utah, Carrolyn of Plymouth, Utah, Randy of Colorado Springs, Chris (Carol) of Colorado Springs, and Michael (Ashley) of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
