John J. Buck, Jr., 74 of Venice, Florida formerly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away November 16, 2008 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. John was born November 1, 1934 in Philadelphia the son of the late John J. and Margaret (Lavery) Buck. John was a police officer with the Philadelphia Police Department for 25 years until his retirement in 1983. John is survived by his wife Eileen of 49 years, sons; John J. Buck, III of Sarasota, Florida and Brian H. Buck of New York, New York, two daughters; Maureen T. McCusker of Port Charlotte, Florida and Helen M. Swan and five grandchildren.
