John Patrick Corso

October 1st, 1960 - June 30th, 2024

John Patrick Corso, 63, of Ocala, Fl passed away June 30, 2024. He was born October 1, 1960 in Queens New York at Astoria General Hospital to Salvatore and Florance Barry- Corso who lived in Maspeth at the time.

John joined Local 3 Electrical Union in 1978 as Journeyman A. He excelled in his career that he loved. He retired in 2008 after 30 years. 

John married Mary Corso and they moved to Punta Gorda, Fl. then to Fort Myers, Fl. and finally to Ocala, Fl. They enjoyed living in Florida for 17 years following John’s passion for music as the leader of the Archer Classic Rock Band as drummer and singer. He loved entertaining people, making them laugh and putting a smile on their face was important to him. Traveling within the US by driving his RV to National Parks was something he did often and enjoyed. In Punta Gorda, John served well as Grand Knight to the Knights of Columbus, where he loved and served our Lord God.

Visitation for John will be Saturday July 13, 2024 from 10:00am until 12:00 pm at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home 9400 Indian Springs Road, Punta Gorda. Followed by a rosary and service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow the mass in Charlotte Memorial Cemetery. Father Stephen Imbarrato will officiate. Reception to follow.
