John "Wes" Wesley Cosgrove, Jr.

John "Wes" Wesley Cosgrove, Jr., age 74, passed away February 29, 2016 in Colorado Springs. Wes was born on December 31, 1941 to John and Elsie.While working as a Master Electrician for many years, he was a volunteer Fire Captain with the Stratton Meadows fire department, and has owned several different business's over the years. The last 35 years he owned and operated JW's Liquor. He was a YAL football coach for all three of his sons. He loved football being an avid Broncos fan. Wes loved fishing, hunting and being in the mountains.One of Wes's strongest attributes was to help others in a time of need. There were many times when Wes stopped what he was doing and went out of his way to lend a helping hand. Wes had a strong compassion to see others succeed. He was preceded in death by his son Chad Cosgrove, and his daughter Toni Cosgrove.Wes is survived by his wife; Liz Cosgrove, daughters; Rhonda (Darin) Rockwell, and Terri Breen, sons; Bryan (Mary), Blake, Joe, stepson Roberto Cantu, and nineteen grandchildren.Visitation, 9:00AM-11:00AM, Sunday, March 6, 2016, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
