John Herbert Crawford, age 75, of North Port, died on October 23, 2011. He was born in Rochester, NY on July 20, 1936, and moved to North Port from Caledonia, NY after he retired in 1993. He is a veteran of the US Army and served at the Valley Forge Academy. Surviving family members include his wife, Judith; son Ernie Crawford; daughters Caroline Barca and Heidi Fry; step daughters Laura Yager, Rebecca Hall, Tamara Gaita, and Patti Yager; sister Gail Humphrey; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
