John Dye 78, of North Port died July 1, 2007. He was born September 30, 1928 in Winesburg, Arkansas. He was formerly of Davison, MI retiring in 1991 as a Die Setter for General Motors and later moved to North Port in 1995. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1959. Also, he was a Korean War Veteran. Surviving are: wife Thelma of 49 years; daughter’s Sharon and husband Don Beauchamp of Arizona, Debra and husband David Obert of North Port, Sons; Dan and wife Penny Bartlett of Michigan, Darryl and wife Sherry Dye of Port Charlotte, David R. Dye of North Port and Bobby and wife Linda Dye of Michigan. 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A visitation for John will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 4 to 8 PM at the Farley Funeral Home in North Port. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Farley Funeral Home Funeral Home North Port Chapel with burial with Military Honors will follow the service at Venice Memorial Gardens. Donations can be made in memory of John Dye to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238. John will be missed by many friends and family.
